1. Independent Third-Party Status & Non-Affiliation
Halo Security Concierge is an independent third-party technical assistance and customer onboarding concierge. We are NOT affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by, authorized by, or in any way officially connected to Ring LLC, Amazon.com, Inc., Blink, Google Nest, Arlo Technologies, or any of their subsidiaries or affiliates. All product names, logos, brands, registered trademarks, and model numbers referenced on this website or during phone consultations remain the exclusive intellectual property of their respective owners and are used strictly under fair-use principles for nominative identification and consumer compatibility guidance.
2. Technical Concierge & Setup Assistance Scope
Our concierge service provides independent, consumer-directed assistance for physical mounting guidance, Wi-Fi pairing, 2.4 GHz vs 5 GHz dual-band router configuration, transformer voltage checks (16-24V AC), chime kit bypass, and mobile app pairing. We do not manufacture hardware, sell proprietary software, or operate proprietary cloud servers for camera footage retention. All warranty claims, cloud subscriptions, and official customer accounts are governed by the respective hardware manufacturers' terms of service.
3. Surveillance & Crime Prevention Limitations
Smart video doorbells, security cameras, floodlights, and alarm kits are intended as visual deterrents, situational awareness tools, and forensic recording devices. The installation or configuration of smart cameras does not guarantee crime prevention, theft elimination, personal safety, or intrusion prevention. Halo Security Concierge does not operate a central emergency dispatch station or armed guard response, and makes no representations that any equipment will avert unlawful acts.
4. Privacy Laws & Local Recording Compliance
The property owner or consumer is solely responsible for ensuring that all camera angles, audio recording features, and surveillance practices comply fully with all applicable federal, state, and local privacy laws and wiretapping regulations. This includes complying with state-specific one-party or two-party audio recording consent statutes, providing visible window/doorway signage where required by law, and ensuring cameras do not view private neighboring areas or restrooms.
5. Footage Ownership & Cloud Subscriptions
All recorded video feeds, snapshots, and archived events captured by your devices belong exclusively to you and are stored directly on the manufacturer's cloud platform (e.g., Ring Protect) or local storage accessories. Halo Security Concierge does not access, view, intercept, retain, or store your private video feeds or passwords at any time. Consumers must safeguard their passwords and multi-factor authentication (2FA) credentials.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Halo Security Concierge, its operators, or technical representatives be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from the use, inability to use, or configuration of third-party smart home devices, network outages, or reliance on website technical diagnostic guides.
